Bank-Level Security

Mazooma keeps you safe by leveraging existing online banking technology and security measures, including 128-bit encryption. Banks constantly update their platforms to adopt the latest security technologies, so Mazooma is always armed and up to date too.

No data storage – your bank passwords and login IDs are never seen, stored or shared by Mazooma.

Identity verification precautions – we make sure that it’s actually YOU accessing your online banking by requiring full login credentials AND correct completion of your bank’s security question.

Security certification – Mazooma is monitored and verified by leading privacy and security certification firms TRUSTe, VeriSign, and McAfee SECURE.

Safety DOs & DON'Ts

DO

  • Create a unique Mazooma password-include numbers and capital letters.
  • Ensure your virus protection software is up to date.
  • Be careful when using public computers (cafés and libraries) - make sure you always log out and close your browser.

DON'T

  • Share your Mazooma password with anyone.
  • Share your banking login ID and password with anyone.
  • Install programs from people or companies you don’t know.


Security FAQs

  • No. At no point is your bank data stored on any device such as a hard drive or database.
  • The only people who have access to your banking info are bank employees.
    Mazooma doesn't log or store bank credentials, so our employees can't access this information or share it with the online merchant.
  • No. You can't put any money in your Mazooma account, so your Mazooma User ID and password cannot be used to access any money.

    And, a payment can't be made with your Mazooma account because a person would also require your online banking user ID and password, and the answer to your bank's security question.
  • We do everything possible to ensure the ongoing security of our service. We recommend that you be vigilant in protecting yourself from fraud as well.
